i was thinking of wad to blog.... cause i have the urge to share.. but dunno wad... then suddenly recall something... and here it goes again....
today tada! i am going to talk about porcupines!! ahaha! cause porcupines have 2 methods of handling a relationship. Attack and withdrawal.. they are generally solitary animals and they travel alone. of course, porcupines do not travel alone always, it's thoughts will be on love on late autumn. However, love turns out to be a risky business for them... females are open to dinner and a movie only once a year the window of opportunity closes quickly. and a gal porcupine no is a widely respected turn down in all animal kingdom. Fear and anger makes them dangerous to be around.. now here is the porcupine dilemma: how do it get close to one without getting hurt?
does it sound a bit too familiar..... cause this is all mortal human dilemma too.. everyone of us carry our own little arsenal. our barbs have names like rejection, condemnation, resentment, arrogance, selfishness, envy, contempt. Some other hide better than the rest, but if u probe inside, you will find they are there. They burrow under the skin of our enemies; they wound and fester and to kill.... we too, learn to survive through a combination of withdrawal and attack. We, too , find ourselves hurting and being hurt by those we long to get closest to.
yet we, too, want to get close. We meet frens, go church, date, get married and have children. We try to figure out how to get close without getting hurt. We wonder if there isn't a softer, less-barbed creature out there- an otter/ seal hahha?? maybe....
and in our life, we can think a number of porcupine in our life.. yea.. dun fake it.. you do... wink wink... hahaha.... but the problem is not jus in them.. i am somebody procupine wink wink*. So are you.
